watching the world
Watching the World
I close my eyes and see
A world in complete ruins
Like the sky has fallen
As if the underworld has come above ground
Millions of people wander the streets
Crying, begging, needing
Buildings are burning
Ashes fall like rain
I hear the sirens sing their song
Black smoke clouds my vision
Clear as night
I find my way into this new world
Terrified and lonely we rise undefeated
For we are a strong-willed people
We are America
