Dreams of freshman schemas running through our minds
Obsessing over old friends and new finds
Nerves keeping us on edge
Till we pick out brand new threads
Wakening up early on the first day
As everything seems to fray
Walking to the bus stop
We start to feel like we’re going to pop
Then we see the school
And everything starts to cool
Wondering about the first day and what it holds
Then finally fitting into new molds
