To The Edge MAG
To the edge.
He teetered on his knees.
Behind him were his tormentors,
The ones who brought him to the edge.
Carried there on the shoulders
Of jeers and insults.
To the edge.
He begged and pleaded, tears racing down his face
And falling over the edge with alarming speed.
His pleas were lost in the shouts of "fat boy" and "loser."
The kind faces of his parents were lost in the swell
Of hostile countenances.
To the edge.
The sharp jabs came like stones
Into his back.
To his feet he struggled.
He turned once more, and stared into the eyes of the mob.
And over the edge, he went, following the course of his tears.
