Stuck In My Head
Loneliness kicks in
Not sure where to begin
I let you go, took a chance
Sick of this hopeless romance
Head slightly above water
Survivor of our love’s slaughter
Resentment of things left unsaid
Stuck in my head, tossing and turning in bed
Hate, then longing, wanting out of this rut
Still thinking of you…somewhat
Haunted by promises that seemed so bleak
Actions and answers all too weak
Days pushed me further away
I could have been yours, why the delay?
There should have been no doubt
Live life with me, or without
Had me playing a guessing game
Now look at what we became
Truths, or lies, that only time could tell
Over you, Just can’t believe how hard I fell
