Remorse

August 24, 2009
By Anonymous

I hold in contempt this very destructive criticism
For those who must be condemned uphold their devilish cynicism
So what sets me apart from their so called elitism?

Is it my very irrationality?
My sad human reality?

I know not for this flesh is as draconian as the rest

To thee who rests with the crown
Turn your head away and pretend you brethren doesn't drown
Why bother helping others and step down?
After all our presence on this planet is already in the countdown

Fall and believe soon we will fall to perforce
Although we are human we are still evil's source

So weep and try for some remorse

To remind us all that we still make faults.

No, I think it's true. The part about the one who wheres the crown applies pretty much to the past, now, and most likely the future. Theres always someone fighting for the top spot and they honestly don't care who they have to step on to get there.

Really?... I hope you don't see the more pessimistic viewpoint of it.
