She pried at the piece of pink grapefruit with the serrated spoon
until it gave in
squelched

out of it's cacoon,
and flopped on the surface
a dead fish.

Cord connected it
to it's womb
And she ripped the skin bridge
merciless -

popping it in with a kiss.
