Flurry Of Hope MAG
I can smell the snow
as soon as November begins
and it keeps me going until March.
Always there
hanging in the distance
ready to fall.
The air turns so gray
I can't distinguish
where the sky and sidewalk
meet
and I feel that hope
welling up inside me
for the snow to make
the real world disappear -
sometimes it does,
and sometimes it doesn't,
but the anticipation
is worth the wait.
