Man's Best Friend MAG
I am sixteen
And my best friend has betrayed me
The dog I cannot live without
Doesn't sleep in my room
Anymore
How come my room is
Always so empty
What if I wake
Before morning
And my dog's in the bedroom
Under my sister's bed.
I have to learn how to change
In time for the next night
My room is too big for me
Suppose I give him more time
His tail will wag merrily
And finally
Learn the truth about me
There is so much I want to do
And too little
Time to share with him
And the dog's in the bedroom
Under my sister's bed.
I didn't stop to think
About his side of it
I should have stayed his best friend
My throws are better than hers
Why do I have to be
The one
Playing sports
I won't do anything tomorrow
Will I be home long enough
To be with him
And my dog's in the bedroom
Under my sister's bed.
