Faint MAG
My eyes open, I sit up.
The view becomes obscured, like the aftermath
of an overly brilliant light bulb.
I wait until all is clear, all is shadowed.
In the bathroom, my hands find a cup,
and water finds its way into the cup.
Suddenly I forget my thoughts.
Slowly the darkness clouds my mind, then
my eyes - until all is murky and muted.
I slip down, and sit in the corner, as
a frightening tiredness takes over me.
I slumber, perhaps too deeply,
then I climb back in bed, and my eyes close.
