Clear skies above you
and hard dirt below
Walking towards nothing
Your backpack in tow.
Peaceful in silence
Alone on the trail
No meetings to go to
No Facebook or email.
Away from the pressures
And troubles of days
Nothing but sunlight
Nothing in your way.
Walking is quiet,
It's where you want to be
There is so much to witness
and so much to see.

wow :) this is really good! it does seem like too many people rely on technology to make them happy. i like how you used the serenity of a walk to make happiness and peace :) very creative! :) great flow and rhythm....loved it!! check out some of my work if you could, id love your opinion :) keep writing!!

I don't know if I could live without some type of communication with my bff's, but I do agree that our technology has gotten way out of hand and we are becoming dependent on it. I mean, my neighbors drive to their mailbox instead of walking the ten feet!

I know what you mean. I'm surrounded by all these different technologies and times always seems to run out on me. But when i go hiking with my family and forget my phone at home (happens a lot), I feel so peacefull and I just don't want it to end.
