But Tramps Like Us, Baby We Were Born To Run...

FALLING IN AND OUT OF SLEEP,
WISHING THAT THE NIGHTMARES WOULD STOP;
THRASHING ABOUT MY BED, MESSING UP THE BLANKETS WITH MY NAILS.
SCREAMING IN THE NIGHT
BUT NO ONE CAN HEAR ME,

I LOOK AT MY BOX, ONLY MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT
WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY, I'M COUGHING UP BLOOD NOW
MY APPENDIX IS ABOUT TO BURST
AND I CAN'T BREATHE

WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG TONIGHT?
CAN YOU SOLVE THE CRIME WHICH IS MY CURRENT DILEMMA,
I NEED HELP SO BAD, I'M SO LOST, SO DIZZY I DON'T KNOW WHERE I WILL GO FROM HERE;
FROM YOUR ARMS TO THE SHINING BEYOND.

OH FATHER GUIDE ME AND PROTECT ME
KEEP ME A CREATURE OF THE NIGHT, NEVER TO KNOW THE SUNLIGHT
PLEASE KEEP ME FROM THE GROUND, USING ALL YOUR MIGHT.
OH FATHER!

I wrote this piece when I was in a wayward place in my life. Nothing made since, I'd lost touch with my age old philosophy that I live by. I had forgotten that 'What Ever Happens, Happens. And What Ever Doesn't, Doesn't.'
