Nothing New
I wake up with bright light coming in,
I look out my window and see a bird on a tree limb.
I work my way toward the kitchen to eat,
I find eggs and a pan and begin to beat.
I pick out an outfit and put it on,
I look at the clock, it’s almost dawn.
I should probably find something to do,
But I seem to have lost my other shoe.
I find it under the bed and walk out the door,
Maybe I’ll hang out with Cody, I can’t think of anything more.
I go to Cody’s and watch T.V.
His girlfriend is there and says hi to me.
We sit there being very bored,
After a while I get taken home in his dad’s FORD.
I’m back at home with nothing to do,
My boring life is nothing new.
