How The Cataloupe Got Its Color MAG
A clear colored fruit
the cavemen
found.
It was lying there
alone on the
ground.
They threw it out to
sea
At a quarter past
three.
It landed on the
sun
Which was coming up for
fun.
But the color all fell
out
of the sun and hit a
trout.
The melon was colored
too
Along with a bird that
flew
Across the open
sky
Searching for small
fry.
Plain old trout were
renamed
Rainbow trout ... at least they
claimed.
The melon changed
from clear to
gold,
But the sun right
now was all
cold.
We paid the
price
To live like
ice,
Just so a fruit
could look real
nice.
