Once I Tried... MAG
Once I tried to write a book,
But I could not find the words.
Once I tried to sing a song,
But my voice could not be heard.
Once I tried to find a friend,
But no one could be found.
Once I looked inside myself
And saw where I was bound.
A desert of isolation
Lay there in my path.
Emptiness, desertion
Were my aftermath.
A lonely conclusion
I forced myself to see -
Love and kindness
Would never be shown to me.
So no matter what I try,
I will always fail
With society as my captor,
And life as my jail.
