She died on New Year's Eve, 1984,

It's so unfair, I get to see her no more.

Aunt Roberta was so vivacious and young,

People would smile as her songs were sung.

She loved helping and caring for every one,

Nobody hated her, she was always lots of fun.

She never forgot any special days,

Always remembering them

and making them so gay.

Then one day we learned of her future struggle,

She might become unable

to play with her dog, Snuggles.

We were then told her breast cancer had spread,

They were words that everyone had dread.

Nobody deserves cancer, especially not her,

We were so unhappy, oh yes we were.

On New Year's Eve,

We became so bereave.

Oh why, oh why, did she have to die?

Life's just no fair, all I can do is cry.
