The fight for life.
November 29, 2009
The windows open up,
And you shut down,
Your wondering where your life went,
It flew right past you,
You cry and want it back,
The fight for life,
You never thought you'd want,
But now the pain in realizing it,
Has sunk in,
Reality has taken place,
The person you used to be,
No longer exists,
And the person you are now,
A stranger in the distance,
Looking at you from a mile away,
The dreams you now have,
Will never be fulfilled,
The love you want now,
You will never have,
The peace you want inside your soul,
Rests with the dignity you lost.

Thank you. Im glad you liked it, I've written other long poems, But to me the shortest of poems hold the most emotion.

I enjoyed this one especially. After reading all of your other poems in which I noticed were all short, this one had alot more to say. It was a change of pace - something new almost and I liked it.
