Blank Mind
How can I make them care?
The teacher speaks in vain
Blank minds; the students stare
Minds wandering here and there
Thoughts thinking, “This is lame!”
How can I make them care?
The teacher throws his hands in the air
Glossy eyes blink in pain
Blank minds; the students stare
So much knowledge he wants to share
He wants them to understand the significance of the distant train
How can I make them care?
Frustrated, the teacher wants to throw a chair
He thinks to himself, “It is a shame!”
Blank minds; the students stare
He says aloud, “It's not fair!”
But to the students, poets sound all the same
How can I make them care?
Blank minds; the students stare.
