Heaven
My time is gone.
Where has it gone?
It has escaped through the crack in the window.
It has seeped through the floorboards.
I spent it well, but it is gone.
It has blown away, taking my Soul with it,
Up to Heaven.
I know my time is not over.
Instead I will live forever.
Heaven,
Infinity times better than I imagined or dreamed.
Billions of butterflies and birds.
A fawn nuzzles my hand.
A lion rubs against my legs.
A wolf licks my hand.
A snake wraps around my arm like a bracelet.
Yet I am unafraid.
I am wearing a lavender sun dress, and a crown of daisies and diamonds.
I hear the laughter of children and adults.
I hear the praises of those praising the King.
I feel the cool grass of the ever green fields under my bare feet,
As I run into the waiting arms of my Father.
