In The Wind
A voice calls to me in the wind,
I pray for my life to end.
The way they walk by happily,
While I stand here suffering.
No one can understand this pain,
There’s no other option, this is the way.
I put the barrel up to my head,
And I cry for forgiveness as the pain spreads.
The pain of loss, the pain of fear,
The feeling I will never be loved here.
He took my hand and pulled it slow,
Pulling the gun away from us both.
Two bullets shook into his hand,
And he threw them into the rusty sand.
Bringing me deep into his chest,
I feel for once completely at rest.
I cry on him for a while,
Then he looks down at me and smiles.
As he strokes my hair and kisses me,
I realize I could live happily.
And as the dove over us flew,
He whispers in my ear “I love you”
