The Queen With a Jealous Heart
When thinking of Snow White's tragic life,
You think of her father's second wife
That evil queen, so cruel and vile,
Who tried to murdered the poor child
She always had to feel superior,
So she'd often look into her mirror
And ask "Who's the fairest in the land?"
But what she did not understand
Is that beauty is not upon the surface,
And what's only skin-deep is worthless
But this, the shallow queen did not know
Because of what the mirror did not show
Things just might have become clearer
If the view went beyond her exterior
Her blackened soul would be revealed,
Such horrors that can't be concealed
Red eyes glaring with evils untold
Would explain why she acted so heartless and cold
With pure wickedness lining every feature,
She would be a truly hideous creature
But the mirror just showed her beauty fair
Instead of a monster standing there
But it's her own fault, that evil queen
That she became so vain and mean
So focused on her pride and glory,
She became the villain of the story
Her jealous heart just wouldn't rest
When she heard that she was second best
What drove her to her ruthless deed?
It was her ignorance and greed
She probably would've stay normal and sane,
But she let envy take over her brain
"If I'm not on the top, then no one shall be!
Nobody can take this prize from me!"
So her own step-daughter must be killed
For the queen's raging envy to be stilled
The plan was crazy and haywire,
And, in the end, it did backfire
But that blood-red apple, she took in her grasp
Thinking she would be the best, at last!
Her jealous wrath just couldn't wait
As she poisoned the apple with envy and hate
And, though just an apple may sound small,
Envy and Hate are the deadliest poisons of all.
