Like I do
I hide a smile as you walk bye.
When I saw you with her I was about to cry.
Then I saw you coming toured me.
And I thought just maybe.
Maybe you were thinking what I was.
Maybe you were thinking about how my lips pout as I walk
aimlessly down the halls like I do about you.
Maybe you were noticing how when I smile my face lights up
and my eyes glisten like I do.
As you stand there and talk to me I freeze up.
Then I here the question I’ve been dreaming to hear.
“So do you want to go to a movie or something’ this Saturday”.
I studier and he laughs.
Not in a cruel way but in a loving way.
Then he says “I’m going to take that as a yes”.
I laugh, I smile, and I jump up and down.
He does think about how my lips pout like I do to him.
He does notice the way my smile lights up my
face and how my eyes glisten every time I see his face like I do to him.
And do you know what?
I think I love him!
