Goodbye
A silent tear rolls down my cheek
As I try to say goodbye
I cannot breathe, I cannot speak
I cannot look him in the eye
My lips won't move
My brain seems broken
This simple word
Cannot be spoken
It has to be done
Before I leave
But my words have been stolen
By a master thief
I don't know how to tell him
I don't know what to do
I don't know how to say it
But I simply have to
It's not a goodbye
See you tomorrow
It's a goodbye
Hold me in your sorrow
It's not a goodbye
An LOL, TTFN
It's a goodbye
I will never see you again
And with my last breaths
I waste them not
I take the time
And kiss him a lot
I savor the moment
To remember it well
As I feel myself moving
Further from Hell
Upon my last seconds
As my eyes begin to close
I tremble with affliction
From my head to my toes
I whisper five words
As I fade away
The words that I speak of
I had to say
And since I knew
Without him I would die
I told him
"I love you
and
goodbye."
