My Love for You

From the day we met till the day I die
I will fear that this is all a dream, a lie
The way you smiled at me that hot summer day
All my tears and pain went away
The day before you was full of dread and sorrow
That day, I didn’t know about tomorrow
You’re my star, you’re my light
I never knew anyone could shine so bright
You’re like a mountain, so tall and strong
I feel my heart is where you belong
You showed me, that love never dies
To me, you’re the heavens and skies
If I could prove it to you, I would
But no actions or words ever could
Sometimes I fear this is just lust
If it is, all I ask is for your friendship and trust
If I am not the one, she better know she has luck
And any girl who breaks your heart is scum and muck
I will always be by your side
Even if I’ll never be your bride
I want you to know, I’d take any risk or chance
To be in your arms, and for your romance
If you were in any danger, I want you to know
That I would die for you, and be your hero
You ask God, for all I ever pray, think or do
Has something to do with My Love for You.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this piece is my love for the guy I really care about. He's just so amazing and he doesn't know it. I hope that one day he will know just how much he means to me. I hope you, the readers, will choose the guy/girl that makes you feel most like this way, because this feeling is wonderful. :)

Thanks, but I wouldn't say anything that wasn't true!!! Keep Writing, and you done a wonderful job of pulling me into the poem.... I normally get side tracked and have to read it over..... I didn't get side tracked once!!!! XD

This is amazing... you are such a great writer.... You do your best it seems to capture the reader into the poem to story... Keep Writing.... this is lovely, and so is your other peice........ I am intrigued that anyone can write something this amazing!!!
