The Day I Saw You
The Day I Saw You
The day I saw you, you were just standing there bright and smiling.
You looked so grateful to be alive on such a beautiful day,
Then I realized you are always like that, graceful and styling.
You never had a frown on your face, never feeling gray.
And it was you who made me realize how special each day was,
For the first day I saw you, I knew I'd fall in love.
That's enough to make anyone secure,
Just knowing someone special makes your heart full and pure.
I thank you for brightening my day the day I saw you.
You have made me cherish and seize each day,
Although, I do admit I feared our love would be true.
But now that I have you, I know I'll be okay.
There's just something in your eyes.
It shows me you care,
It's something brighter than the skies.
It's something unique we share.
I'll never forget the day I saw you, radiant yet shy.
All the time we waited, I never will regret,
But most of all, I hope you stay with me and never say goodbye.
For the first day I saw you, I never will forget.
