Life Cannot Be Tamed
Life is a peculiar creature.
Sometimes it burns you like a hot plate.
Sometimes it crushes your hopes, your dreams.
Sometimes it laughs at what you say.
Sometimes it pulls you this way or that
But never does it call you fat.
Life is a strange painting.
Sometimes it puzzles you, and makes you think
Sometimes it amazes you and makes you want to shout.
Sometimes it appalls you and makes you look away.
Sometimes it seems impossible and tires your eyes,
But never, oh never, there it just lies.
Life is a natural phenomenon.
Sometimes it cools like an ocean wave.
Sometimes it crashes like a thunderstorm.
Sometimes it rumbles, like quaking earth.
Sometimes it burns like a forest flame,
But life itself, you cannot tame.
