Fun in the Sun
Driving to the beach
The family is jammed in the car
 “How much farther Dad?”
 He replies, “Not too far.”

 Ten minutes have passed
 I step into the sand.
 Grab the suntan lotion
 And my sunglasses in hand.

 I dive in the water
 It feels crisp and cool.
 Summer is here
This means no worries, no school!

 It’s been a long day
Of sand castle, surfing and fun.
But now I’m tired and I’ll go to sleep
 Until the morning sun.
