God knew you were weak
A cure was not meant to be
He wrapped his arms around you
and said, "Marie, come to me"
With tears in our eyes
we heard you passed away
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay
A young heart stopped beating
Hard-working hands are at rest
God only took you to prove to us
he only takes the best
