Do you feel alive?
You’re breathing and living
But your addiction to conformity
Takes your life away
Who are you?
You’re part of American society
A piece of socialized property
But you can’t remember your last own idea
Do I feel alive?
I write to express myself
I play guitar to become myself
Even those I don’t know see myself
I am alive and you are dead
I’m standing out while you’re fading in
Our paths cross, you see I’m alive
And suddenly you realize you’re dying inside
