Guitar without Strings
You string, you strum
 You play, you hum
 The guitar you string
 Makes me sing
 You play upon a hill
 While the horizon is uprising
 You would play everyday
And I would you watch while we sang tunes from your guitar
Then at night we would look up at the stars
But the songs are no more
 The tune has gone away
The strings have walked out the door
And the guitar will not play
 The guitar sits up top
With no one to play it then stop
 The guitar has no strings
And there is nothing to sing
I would get new strings and would sing to the strumming tune
 That it would play
But to this day I don’t know how to play
That precious thing, that guitar without a single string
