I wrote this poem to include in a book of poetry, which we were assigned to create in english class. This book was to include a letter to the reader, 10 of your favorite poems and a reflection on each, a creative cover, and two original poems.

At the beginning of this project, I got very excited about putting my creativity to the test. After spending many hours creating the cover, I finally laid the last piece of packaging tape over the top as lamination. And what did I realize moments after? My “Poetry” book was missing an “r”. This was the motivation “The Small Things ‘R’”. In the handout describing this assignment, it says, “Embrace each decision you make”. I have learned from this project how to not only embrace my decisions, but also my mistakes.
