Oops, I Broke My Lenten Promise

Uh-oh. My Lenten promise-- I think it just broke.
My will-power crumbled just as soon as he spoke.
Then he smiled at me with those candy-coated lips,
and his eyes lit up, still brown as chocolate chips.
His hair colored like brown-sugar, it sparkles just the same;
his voice smooth as ice cream when he says my name.
I know I promised for Lent to give up all treats,
but I don't think I can, 'cause that boy's just too sweet. =]
