He takes away all my fear.
I don’t know what it is about him,
But I know I’m glad that he’s here.
Like a gentle rain, he wipes away my tear.
Without him my life would be grim.
So as long as I’ve got him, there will only be cheer.
Stay with me forever, dear.
If you leave, the light of my life will be dim.
For eternity I need you near.
From evil options you help me steer clear,
Left alone, I’d get so close, the surface I would skim.
It’s almost as if you’re my protective rain gear.
It’s the small this that you whisper in my ear…
I appreciate the burdens from my life that you trim.
Not only do I listen to your words, but I hear.
Forever I want to follow you close at your rear,
Otherwise, it’s as if I’ve lost a limb.
You take away all my fear.
And I know I’m glad that you’re here.
