Innocence MAG
Virgin eyes see more than virgin lies.
Don't take my innocence for granted,
& do not criticize.
Played me for a fool, but that's okay …
Once my loss, twice is a shame.
Yes, I have only felt adolescent intimacy,
But I know how the story goes …
Screw me over?
I don't think so.
Feelings fade, and so does the image of you,
I regret, I think, I shed a few.
Irreplaceable memories, they're here to stay …
But permanent changes?
Haven't experienced that kind of play.
Toy with my common sense,
and prior thoughts of me and you …
Jealousy, anger … they're only a few.
But virgin eyes always see more than virgin lies.
Underestimation has no relation in this equation,
and assumptions only make frustrations.
Think twice before you cross a virtuous young lady,
she's seen the rough, the fakes, and the shady.
Virgin eyes see more than virgin lies.
