A World Without Colour
Without you beside me,
Everything fades to grey,
The lush greens and deep purples,
It’s all swept far away
My world is fathomless,
One deep and dismal dark hole,
The rainbows ceasing,
And my dreams dissipating
I can’t wash away these tears,
Nor place paint to my vision,
Because it will all slip away,
Just the way that you did
The loving red you brought each day,
Warm hands like the orange of the sun,
Electrifying bright smile of yellow at dawn,
Caressing hands as if brushing against green flower stems,
Calming touch releasing the rush of blue waves,
Exotic personality marked with streaks of indigo,
And vibrant violet of a party,
When you left; so did the rainbow
