Seasons
Don't say
The light will not shine through the haze.
The myriad ways I have glanced
Have changed perspectives of the past.
I'll stay
Truthful to my path.
The youth that’s in me will not last
For the seasons they always come back.
I know
I’ve grown into, the image
The woman I’ve wanted to be.
For I can remember to grasp
It’s been more than thoughts stored in a bag.
For sure
I have changed
In more than one way.
Soon you’ll realize
This whole concept of life is the same.
And for the sake
Of me coming back to you.
Remember the times
The times we laughed.
Things don’t just happen, not like that.
