Since Second Grade

We’ve been friends since long before second grade
Kept in touch
Even with all the other friends we’ve made
Then the day came
When I was ignored
To be seen with me was a shame
We haven’t talked since then
We met others
And were no longer best friends
I want to go back
To when time didn’t matter
And it wasn’t important if there was something we lacked
But now the time has come and gone
We grew up
And no longer had a bond
