The Bystander
What better way to impose the world
Than to shun its people
When I laugh, it kills me
For some of the topics do not humor me so
What’s the point of caring for others
When they do not care back?
I have been used many times
Until it slandered my loyalty
Have I done something wrong?
The world will end if you do not do this task
No one will love you
No one will feel your embrace
Until it is too late
As an outsider looking in
I felt heartbreak and shame
Behind the masks that was my nature
This feeling to please—
Is it worth it?
I want to lie in the field
Me and the man I so secretly love
Just two against the world
No one to criticize, no one to care…
Too bad he can’t see me
Too bad no one sees me
Just me and the world
It disgust me to see reality so cold
Too bad I stuck behind it.
