It's hard to tell what you're striving for,
When you have no goals,
When you're sliding through the present blurr.
Life can really pass you by,
When you lose your grasp,
When you no longer ask why.
Going with the flow will get you moving.
But you wont be heading anywhere.
You'll be with the same current your entire life.
Sitting contently, with a big blank stare.
Nothing like milky eyes,
To give the comatose an unpleasant surprise.
Maybe one day a look in the mirror
Will stir more than quiet sighs.
