My Lady
Her warmth, her laughter, the good feeling,
I can sense it; the happiness from its meaning.
Her voice, her smile,
Too bad I’m going to be a while.
I cannot wait to see her, the woman of my dreams.
She’s getting anxious now, I feel it or so it seems.
Yet I still cannot wait to meet her,
I will die if I have to wait for later.
I’m fighting; I’m pushing, working my way out.
I’m trying so hard, can no one hear my shouts?
I’m cannot wait to see her,
Again, I’ll die if I have to wait for later.
Finally, my screams pierce the air, like a gold token.
But I’m lost; she’s gone, the umbilical cord broken.
