Fly Away
So this is what it feels like
When heaven turns to Hell
The embers overtaking those
I’d thought had served you well
We weren’t given joy at birth
Nor wings to fly away
We feel so trapped within our skins
Where we are forced to stay
The solace contained in acts
Cast behind the eyes
Are entangled in the air we breathe
And shake us down to lies
