A Stitch across Time
If I could, I would,
 stitch the next happy hour towards good,
 sew up the tip, the end, the noose,
 till time’s pocket lets no true terror loose.

 A stitch in time could save us then,
 closed between now and the end,
 a charm to work a spell to toss,
 a door closed and a dream lost.

 But I’m just a tailor,
 an artist with cloth and thread;
 not a dreamer dressed as a jailer,
 or a savior for the dead.
