Beauty
Beauty is the sunrise,
Before the summer heat,
It is watching your little baby,
As he starts to use his feet.
It is looking at your girlfriend,
On your wedding day,
When she looks so beautiful,
You don't know what to say.
It is starting a new family,
And living a new life,
Coming home after work,
To your baby and wife.
It is once you grow old,
And watch your grandkids grow,
And laying in a hospital bed,
Just waiting to go.
As I write this in my hospital bed,
Surrounded by my kids,
I'm ready to go so maybe,
just maybe,
I'll know what true beauty is.
