Forgive Me

I’m sorry I am the person I am
I’m sorry there are some things about me you’ll never understand
And forgive me if I make your life a living hell,
Just know that my spirit isn’t something you can quell.
I apologize for every moment of pain,
And I hope you know I feel so much shame.
Every outburst, and hurtful word,
I truly regret.
I just wanted you to know my heart aches,
Because you seem to forget,
That I live and breathe for you.
And if saying sorry will make things better,
Then I sacrifice myself for you.
