Unfair

If I got what I wanted,
things would've stayed the same,
we'd still be together,
no one would be blamed.
If I got what I wanted,
I'd never feel that hurt,
wouldn't put my heart on the line
only to watch it burnt.
If I got what I wanted,
you would have seen the truth,
I'm worth more than she is,
because my love is true.
If I got what I wanted,
you'd finally look and see,
not one person out there,
was there for you like me.
But life's not always fair,
sometimes it cuts you deep,
but I know that I have time,
to get back on my feet.
