Consolation After Death
The moon whispers to me a vivid warning

The stars dance above my head

Alarming me to my numbness perhaps

All around me I am dispensed in a red sea

I don’t think its below zero yet

They know everything of my pain and distress

But the moon tells the snow its too early yet

 Perhaps the snow wasn’t listening

It occurred to me with major shock

That life held no hand on it’s clock

The wind sings blissfully around me

Like the kiss of a beautiful melody

And I can smell the life that’s gone

No life under the stars I love alone
