on the way home
So far do I have to go on this long journey home. The roads I walk never will end, just long and long it goes. My home I fear I will never find. With only days to go before they find me, dead, and silent in my grave.no more can I will to move forward.no longer can I run from what I once called “home.”
I have found a new way and place, no pain and more love than I know. Joy and relief consume me as I think of my days with god, in my new home. A few more miles, a few more days, until my own black heart and empty mind takes me.With the gun to my head and tears on my cheeks, running so smoothly, I hold my breath and I am home, forever in joy. Yes, a few more days.
