The Light From the Outside World

The light from the outside world filters into the room
Dappled light through the windows
She sits drowsy in her world of dream
While the bees dance outside humming her name
Time slowly passes by as the sun creeps towards the horizon
Flowers shield their eyes from the glaring sun
As it gives one final burst of light
Darkness seeps through the cracks of the door
And she is left there alone
So much silence
