Never Forget
I think of memories and about time
How the years have left me too far behind
Friends and family have moved or passed on
No one left to complete unfinished dreams
Lights turned off, the house completely empty
Only familiar smells and sounds left there
The kitchen where I made all of our meals
The tree where Tommy would always hide still stands
The swing where Jenny broke her arm is still there
I'll never forget times I spent at home
But who knew never wouldn't be so long
