Falling
Just jump, why not?
It’s safe.
‘…But what if—’
Don’t think! Just jump!
It’s safe.
I leap with faith,
Into an abandoned depression.
Humanity will save me…
I’m so sure.
Falling…falling…smiling…smiling
Waiting…waiting…falling…falling.
Won’t someone catch me?
Falling…falling…frantic…frantic.
Slowly eroding
By the biting, lonely wind.
Deafened by the whistling rush
Of inevitable death.
Darn.
‘I’m so stupid!’
Faith is one of life’s cruel jokes.
Promises are sugary lies
Trust exists in the imagination.
I have been betrayed.
Falling…falling…realizing,
There’s no hope for me,
My mind has been toyed.
BOOM! Splat!
Just lifeless debris.
My soul is destroyed.
