to destroy completely
to extirpate
is to do what you’ve done to me
what you’ve done to my morals
my principles
my world
to extirpate
is to do what you’ve done to my heart
my mind
my soul
you have extirpated me
no one else can do the same
for when one has been extirpated
when one has been destroyed
you cannot pick up the pieces
when you have been destroyed
there is nothing left
nothing left to hope for
so that even hope has been extirpated
